My first exposure to physical therapy was when my mother injured her ankle. I was impressed with how helpful physical therapy was to reduce her pain and allow her to return to her daily life seamlessly. From then on I’ve been interested in this field. My grandmother is also partly responsible for my interest in this field. Throughout her life, she always stayed active and mobile, even throughout her 90s. She would always tell me that if she stopped her activity she would lose her quality of life significantly and that always stood out to me. My start began at Oakland University where I studied exercise science. I completed research and presented my research at the MIACSM conference along with my mentor. During my time as an undergraduate student, I began working as a PT Tech atRochester Southwhere I gained additional knowledge of the profession. I eventually became a Clinical Manager before beginning my PTA education program at Baker College of Auburn Hills. I completed my program in late 2021 and am excited to begin working as a PTA at HealthQuest!
